Uniting the leading musicologists from Russia, Belorussia and
Ukraine our company is working on a large project of «Anthology
of Russian and East-Slavonic sacred music of XI -XX cc.» (in twelve volumes). The
author of the concept of this publication is Valentina Kopylova - Proprietor and
Artistic Director of our Centre.
In the recent decade Russian and foreign musicology has made a
remarkable success researching East-Slavonic sacred music of XVI-XVIII cc. (Middle Ages,
Baroque and Classicism). At the same time it continues to study intensively the music of
the beginning of XX c. and of the soviet period. However, there is an obvious lack of
publications on the music of these periods and professional musicians' (both scientists
and performers) needs are not met. The «Anthology of Russian and East-Slavonic sacred
music» is to fill this gap.
Others pieces included in the Anthology were prepared by leading scientists from St.Petersburg, Moscow, Kiev and Minsk
(V.Protopopov, N.Gerasimova-Persidskaya, N.Zabolotnaya, T.Vladishevskaya, A.Ratkova and
others) in 1960-70ies and not published yet, along with some recent researches which also
are to published in the Anthology. The most part of the contents
of the Anthology are being published for the first time.
Every volume of the Anthology is to contain not only the scores of
masterpieces but also scientific commentaries and editorial notes on performance
practices. The Anthology is specially designed both for performing musicians and
musicologists.
It is planed to supply every volume with a unique CD.
The Anthology is being published now in Russian with financial support
of Russian State Academy of Science (RGNF). And we hope to find a co-publisher for
non-russian version. |
