Centre. |
Anthology is edited by the most prominent musicologists of Russia and
USA, Ukraina and Belorussia.
To let you enjoy the sound of this music and to make a note on Russian tradition of
singing we supply every volume with a unique CDs recorded either by the
"Rossica" choir or "Russian Baroque" ensemble of soloists. |

Philharmonic and State Concert Agency "Petersburg-Concert" a series of
performances (with ballet, and in decor) is being held in the Small Glinka Hall of
Philharmonic |
- "Italian Renascence. Opera premonition"
L'Amfiparnaso by Orazio Vecchi and Ballet with Singing by Claudio Monteverdi. Performed
on 13th and 14th October 1999.
- "Alcydus" by Dmitry Bortniansky (XVIII c.). Performed
on 25th November 1999.
- "Orpheus" by Evstegney Fomin (XVIII c.)
- Coronation cantatas to Catherine the Great (Sarti, Piaziello,
Kozlovsky)
- Soliery and Mozart: Venetian Fair by Soliery (variant for Russian
court), Variations on the theme of Venetian Fair by Mozart.

| Stagings of the performances are made by the best Russian directors.Among
others, in this project take part "Rossica" choir,
"Ancient Music Ensemble" directed by Peter Aydu, "Soloists
of St.Petersburg" chamber ensemble, ballet dancers from St.Petersburg theatres. |

Swiatki Festival |
Since 1989, we organise this festival in
the Small Glinka Hall of the St.Petersburg State Shostakovitch Philharmonic to celebrate
Christmas and Epiphany. The period of time between these most important holidays of
Russian Orthodox Church is called in Russia "Swiatki". The last two festivals,
"Swiatki-98, 99", were held under benediction of his Eminence, Metropolitan
of St.Petersburg and Ladoga Vladimir. |

Let us introduce you an unprecedented educational
video tape presenting Prof. Iliya Musin - celebrated Russian
conservatory teacher, and his disciples (such as Yurij Temirkanov,
Valerij Gergiev and others) shot while actually teaching or
performing during their lectures, master classes or rehearsals with internationally renown
